1/21 — Evan Greer and spiritchild tonight at the Wesley Foundation

Evan Greer and spiritchild are also playing tonight at the Wesley Foundation. This show starts promptly at 8 so you can make it to this one as well as the Strutt show or the Anthill show if you’d like [let’s face it, we all know those will most likely start at 9:30 or 10]!

The show is free. And there’s free ice cream! You know you wannaaaaaa!

1/21 — The Reptilian HOMECOMING SHOW with Living & Wrestling, Ackley Kid and Pan @ The Anthill

After nearly a month-long string of shows down through Texas, over to Cali and back, The Reptilian are playing the last show of their tour TONIGHT, right here in Kzoo.

Living and Wrestling, hailing from the Mitten State of Wisconsin, are along for the ride and will be serving us up some rad hardcore/screamo tunes. Check out the video for the first song off their EP [props to the person who shot it] :

And, of course, friends and hometown heroes Pan and Ackley Kid will be rounding out the bill.

I’ve listened to a ton of Kohwi ever since I stumbled upon them via the blogsophere in early 2011. Plus, I had the pleasure seeing Fthrsn play at The Gravel Pit in A2 last year.  Both projects are amazing and I’m super excited to see them play our fair city tonight. The Milhouse does it right. As part of this whole Kalamazoo Beer Week, heart-breakers Cold Mountain Child and Northern-boy crooner Pat Carroll will be singin y’all some songs all evening at The Globe. And to top it all off,  you could have your very own pint of a delicious Microbrew for a mere $2.25!

What could be more special than an evening with love songs from the mountain tops and a finely-crafted Poet Stout? Nothing. It’s perfect.
