6/1 – Flare Jeans, White Reaper, The Distorted Waltz, Jerry Fels @ The Courthouse

This Saturday – The Courthouse presents a unique cross-genre show filling out the lineup with everything from Fuzz rock to radicalism inspired Casio-folk.  Essentially, this show has everything you ever wanted, including a good time.

The show starts at nine and you don’t want to miss a minute.

DONATE AND RESPECT ALL THE PEOPLE AND STUFF.

Flare Jeans (Louisville, KY) – A pop/indie sound layered with innovative progressions and perfectly placed emotive vocals.  Flare Jeans not only adds a particular low-fi twist to the never ending indie/emo genre, they remind us why we fell in love with that sort of music in the first place – sure to put a smile on your face in all the right/wrong ways.

White Reaper (Louisville, KY)  – This is good ol’ American Rock ‘n’ Roll with a twenty first century throwback twist.  White Reaper is a non-stop onslaught of fuzzy guitar riffs, fuzzier vocals, straight rock rhythms, completed with a noisy vibe that avoids the obscure and leave only the good feeling usually associated with Rock ‘n’ Roll.

The Distorted Waltz (Bay City, MI) – The alternative influence and foundation of this four-some is clear, but their collective dynamic has led them far past their origins into a unique synthesis of captivating jams and extremely well written songs.  Distorted Waltz is a groove with each member contributing a unique touch to the overall experience – and it sure is one hell of an experience.

Jerry Fels And The Jerry Fels – Jerry Fels, with a Casio keyboard, a guitar, and a thoughtfully ironic and radical lyricism, plays American folk for our generation.  Fels’ style of folk is certainly novel and stimulating, but it is the poignancy and the relevancy of his lyricism that will have you listening to every track he ever recorded, while begging for more.
